Hello all together,

could someone say me who has the best Ixworths in GB,
Silver Welsummer with the darkest egg colour and
Coronation Sussex in Lavender (not blue)??

Hi it might be worth a look on thebreed society websites, show results will give a guide to good breeders, and most sites have breeder lists. I must admit I have had trouble tracking down decent Sussex in my area. If you do come across any nice coronation - please let me know. Viv

I am preferably interested in Utility birds, so I don't know whether show results are a good basic for my decision.
Regardig Welsummer: I know You have still egg contests, but in Germany we haven't anymore and the most show birds in Germany are poor layer with small, pale eggs.
Regarding Ixworths: A few Years ago there was an Ixworth breeder forum which I would have used to get in contact with breeders, but it is offline now.
Regarding Coronation or Lavender-Birchen Sussex (which are based on Silver Sussex): I really think about to try the adventure to import hatching eggs from the USA.
