Dogs and foxes

I have 2 cocker spaniels and they are superb with the birds. When I first got them they would chase them but after a few days they stopped and just ignore them now even he chickens don't bother about them. One is a working type and she is superb but not really much use with foxes or other vermin as they are soft mouthed.
